Background:
In 1997, Ellison Surface Technologies unveiled a new state-of-the-art facility in Rutland, Vermont. This fully automated operation is designed to handle production quantities of industrial and aerospace parts, currently producing over 35,000 parts per week (over 100 part numbers with varied lot sizes). This type of efficiency led the Rutland, Vermont facility to achieve Nadcap Merit List status. After only three years in operation, EST Vermont was honored with the RIT USA Today quality cup competition for delivering Six Sigma quality.
