The Thermal Spray Process

The process of applying extremely robust coatings of metallic, carbide, ceramic or cermet materials.

The materials are fed into a “gun” where they are heated to a molten or semi-molten state by electric or combustion energy.

High pressure gas/air atomizes and propels the heated particles to a prepared (sand blasted & grit profiled) substrate...

...where they impact the surface, flatten and bond to the substrate and build to create a dense, high bond coating.
